Our Unilux VFC’s patented design incorporates multiple dampers and temperature sensors to ensure that the heat recovery ventilator (HRV) or energy recovery ventilator (ERV) functions efficiently, even during low outdoor temperatures. With an HRV, a heat transfer core uses inside air to heat or cool the incoming outside air, resulting in less energy use and more rapid heating and cooling when outside and inside air temperatures are significantly different. On the other hand, upgrading to an ERV core assists in transferring heat and moisture from the inside exhausted air to the incoming outside air, reducing the cost for moisture control and added comfort inside the home, especially during the dry winter months.
High-Quality Components for Optimal Performance
Our cabinet is constructed with galvanized steel lined with 1” fibreglass insulation backed with an aluminum protective coating, ensuring durability and longevity. The energy recovery core has a high latent transfer enthalpy, while the heat recovery core is washable polypropylene. The integrated unit can be specified with one or two motor and blower assemblies, and all blowers are single inlet centrifugal impeller types with forward-curved blades. Choose from a permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor or electronically commutated modulation (ECM) motor, both of which are high-efficiency motors with internal thermal overload protection.
Convenient and Reliable Control
With Unilux VFC’s patented integrated design, you have complete control over your HRV/ERV system. Choose from permanent split capacitor (PSC) motors with zero crossing phase control or electronically commutated modulation (ECM) motors using pulse with modulation, and use a manual push button (+/-) or optional auxiliary controls to adjust motor speed. Timer switches are also available with 20, 40 & 60-minute options, making it easy to customize the system according to your needs.
