The control terminal board facilitates simple safety circuit troubleshooting and simplified control box arrangement, while access panels feature easy grip handles and tool-less filter access doors. Innovative, easy-starting, no-strip screws are featured on unit access panels, with optional hinged access panels also available. All models have a belt-drive evaporator-fan motor and pulley combinations with VFD controller to match the capacity cooling stages for maximum efficiency and comfort control. Two-inch disposable return air filters are standard, with 3 to 5 ton models offering an optional ECM direct drive (multi-speed and torque) indoor fan motor system.

Installation is a breeze with Carrier WeatherExpert rooftop units! These units have the same footprint as installed Carrier 3-5 ton rooftops back to 1989, reducing installation costs and time. They are field convertible from vertical to horizontal airflow for slab mounting without any special kits (size 04-12 units), with provisions for thru-the-bottom power entry capability as standard. Single point electric, gas, and controls connections make installation even easier. Full perimeter base rails with built-in rigging adapters and fork truck slots make moving these units a breeze. Dedicated vertical and horizontal airflow models are available as a factory option on size 14 to 26 units.

Carrier WeatherExpert rooftop units are designed with reliability in mind, featuring scroll compressors with internal line-break overload protection, a 24-volt control circuit protected with resettable circuit breakers, and permanently lubricated evaporator-fan motors. Totally enclosed condenser motors with permanently lubricated bearings, low pressure and high-pressure switch protection, and exclusive IGC anti-cycle protection for gas heat operation provide peace of mind. Standard limited warranties are included, with extended warranty packages available.
